Zambia Sugar prides itself as a world- class products, supplying both domestic and export markets. The Company has over 7,200 direct employees and operates an out grower programme made up pf Commercial and small holder farmers that collectively constitute and additional 4,800 indirect employees. Downstream the value chain the Company works with customer networks across the country and region.
Zambia Sugar is the largest single-mill cane sugar producer in Africa. Established in 1964, the company has grown to become one of Zambia’s leading agribusinesses and is listed on the Lusaka Securities Exchange, with 25% of its shares held as free float by institutional and private investors.
The remaining 75% of the company’s shares are held by ABF Sugar, one of the world’s leading sugar businesses and a division of Associated British Foods plc. ABF Sugar operates across multiple countries, with extensive agricultural, milling, and production facilities, making it a strong strategic partner for Zambia Sugar’s continued growth and innovation.
